The Green Dragon, Brook

The Green Dragon, Brook, Salisbury, SO43 7HE

A 15th-century country pub with rooms in the hamlet of Brook, Bramshaw, in the New Forest National Park — about sixteen miles south-east of Salisbury and an easy New Forest day out, just off the A31 near Cadnam. Run by Wadworth, it overlooks a stream where New Forest ponies wander.

Coeliac UK lists the pub as Gluten Free Accredited. The pub's own site says it caters for gluten-free diners, and coeliac reviewers describe a separate printed gluten-free menu with gluten-free burgers, fish and chips, steak, gluten-free bread and buns, and gluten-free starters and desserts, plus gluten-reduced beer and cider.

Coeliac UK's accreditation is for the pub's gluten-free food; the kitchen also cooks food that contains gluten, so ask for the gluten-free menu and say you are coeliac when you order. A dedicated gluten-free fryer is reported by a coeliac diner rather than published by the pub, so confirm it on the day.

Is the separate gluten-free menu available today, and is the fish and chips cooked in a dedicated gluten-free fryer rather than one shared with battered or breaded items?

Coeliac UK's public venue listing shows the pub as Gluten Free Accredited (seen 3 November 2026). The kitchen is shared, and the dedicated fryer rests on a diner report.
