Ringwood & Burley

Pub

The Three Tuns Inn

Ringwood Road, Bransgore, Christchurch, BH23 8JH

An AA Rosette thatched gastro-pub on Ringwood Road in Bransgore, with a dedicated gluten-free fryer and menus that mark gluten-free and adaptable dishes across every course.

All gluten-free items go through a dedicated gluten-free fryer, which puts the fish and chips and the fries genuinely within reach. The summer menu then marks dishes gluten-free or adaptable across every course: scallops, goats cheese mousse, Greek salad, lamb koftes and spicy bean tacos, bar snacks such as chipotle wings and halloumi fries, with fish and chips, both burgers, half chicken and the steaks adaptable. Desserts include a gluten-free chocolate brownie, peach melba, tropical fruit Eton mess and ice creams. The Sunday roast can be done gluten free and the gravy is gluten free as standard, which removes the usual Sunday obstacle. The chocolate brownie is made in house, so it carries none of the may-contain wording that bought-in cakes usually do.

The kitchen runs one process for every allergy order: a segregated area cleaned and sanitised before preparation, plating on a separate pass, and a server who washes and sanitises their hands before carrying the dish out. That process starts from the order being marked as an allergy order, so tell your server when you order rather than assuming the marking on the menu is enough. Researched with care — never a guarantee.

Is the Sunday roast, and its gravy, available gluten-free? Is the gluten-free chocolate brownie made in the kitchen or bought in?
