Pub

The Forde Inn

Unit 2, Arch Farm Industrial Estate, Whitsbury Road, SP6 1NQ

A pub on the Arch Farm Industrial Estate off Whitsbury Road, Fordingbridge.

The October menu marks fish and chips, tempura chicken, wholetail scampi, confit duck croquettes, panko brie, New Forest sausage and mash, sirloin steak, onion rings and fries gluten-free, and marks several starters and the beef burger as adaptable. The pub told us all its battered food is made with its own gluten-free batter mix and nothing containing gluten touches its fryers.

The pizzas, the pie and the pasta are not marked gluten-free, and adaptable dishes need the change asked for when you order. How gluten-free orders are kept apart from bread and pizza dough elsewhere in the kitchen is not described, so say you are coeliac when you order.

How are gluten-free orders kept apart from bread and pizza dough during preparation?
