Solento Lounge

21/22b High Street, SO41 9AD

Lymington's branch of the Loungers all-day cafe-bar chain, on the High Street, serving breakfasts, tapas, burgers and cocktails from 9am daily. The chain runs a full separate gluten free menu, and its allergy orders follow a set process handled by senior staff.

The branch has confirmed that several fryers in its kitchen are kept for gluten free fried items, so chips and other fried dishes do not share oil with battered food. A dedicated gluten free menu mirrors much of the main menu: all-day breakfasts, tapas, salads, burgers on gluten free buns and puddings. A QR code at the table opens the allergen menu, where may-contain warnings for gluten can be filtered in or out, so you can see the dishes that carry no may-contain at all. The chain states that allergy orders are managed by a senior team member, food is prepared in a separate area, and dishes are delivered by senior front-of-house staff.

The branch is clear that a mistake is always possible despite the process, and recipes change, so use the QR allergen menu on each visit rather than relying on a remembered dish. Say coeliac when you order so the senior-staff process starts.

Can you filter out the may-contain gluten dishes on the allergen menu for me?
