Ringwood & Burley

Pub

Inn on the Furlong

12 Meeting House Lane, BH24 1EY

Grade II listed pub by the Furlong car park in central Ringwood, doing breakfast, lunch and evening menus with live music and a beer garden. Its own menus carry gluten-free marks on a decent spread of dishes, chips included.

The current lunch menu marks around a dozen dishes gluten-free, from soup and omelettes through gammon, sirloin steak, crispy pork belly and honey roast ham — and the chips themselves carry the GF mark. The evening menu is thinner for coeliacs, with GF marks only on chicken wings and gammon.

The menu footer says the kitchen takes caution to prevent cross-contamination but that everything is produced in the same kitchen and any product may contain traces. Chips being marked GF implies a fryer arrangement the pub believes in, but nothing published explains it — ask before ordering anything fried.

Your chips are marked gluten-free — are they fried separately from the battered fish and breaded scampi? Which dishes can the kitchen adapt to gluten-free beyond the marked ones?
