Ringwood & Burley

Framptons New Forest
48-50 High Street, BH24 1AG
At a glance
Independent, family-owned cafe-bar and kitchen on Ringwood High Street, open all day from breakfast through pizzas and burgers in the evening, with a courtyard and barn. The menus themselves offer gluten-free bread, burger buns and pizza bases.
Gluten-free options
Gluten free pizza bases are bought in rather than made in the kitchen, kept away from the other doughs, and cooked on their own tin tray — only the regular dough is stretched in-house. The menus also offer gluten free bread for sandwiches and breakfast dishes and gluten free buns for the burgers. The small-plates list, largely tempura and breaded items, carries no gluten free marking.
Before you order
The pizzas share an oven with the regular ones, on a separate tray, in a kitchen where flour is being stretched. Nothing has been said about the fryer, which also produces the tempura, so ask before ordering fries.
Worth asking?
Are fries cooked in the same fryer as the breaded scampi and tempura? Is your gluten free bread toasted separately from ordinary bread?
