Boston Tea Party Ringwood

Frampton Mill, 15 Furlong Centre, BH24 1AT

The Ringwood branch of the West Country cafe chain, in a handsome mill building in the Furlong with a courtyard. Good all-day brunch with gluten-free bread on request and usually a GF cake, run under the chain's ask-the-team allergen system.

Boston Tea Party runs no separate gluten-free menu; instead staff show you current allergen information and mark out non-gluten-containing options, and any bread or bap can be swapped for gluten-free bread. Diners at this branch report GF toast with the cooked breakfast and gluten-free cake among the bakes.

The chain is upfront that its busy cafes handle all allergens across counters, coffee machines and kitchens and cannot guarantee absence — the standard warning that matters most for very sensitive coeliacs. There is no printed GF marking on the menu, so everything runs through a conversation with the team; the guide's experience at the Salisbury branch is that this works, but it depends on the person you get.

Is gluten-free bread toasted separately or in the shared toaster? Which of today's cakes are non-gluten-containing, and are they stored apart from the others?
